Dear Customer,

Thank you for purchasing the Arrow Precision valve. We believe that it is one of the highest quality valves on the market and should provide you with many years of trouble free service.

The valve is for use with seamless aluminium cylinders used to store compressed carbon dioxide gas for use in paintball guns.

This valve has been manufactured using the highest quality materials and although no standard officially exists for this particular application, we have the British Standards Institution's BS341 (Transportable gas container valves Part 1) as closely as possible.

Your valve is fitted with a pressure relief device commonly know as a "burst disc". In the event of over pressure in the cylinder, this disc will burst (180 - 200 bar) and vent the contents of the cylinder, thus preventing the possibility of the cylinder exploding.

The disc is held in place with a burst disc cap that must be tightened to between 7.9 - 8.4 N.m or 75 - 80 lbf.in to insure correct operation of the pressure relief device.

The burst disc cap is set at our factory for correct operation of the pressure relief device, however if you need to inspect or replace the burst disc for any reason, then you must ensure that the burst disc cap is re-tightened to the correct level before using the valve. Failure to re-tighten the burst disc cap to the specified level or failure to use the correct replacement burst disc (available from Arrow Precision) will result in the pressure relief device not operating correctly.

In accordance with the United Kingdom Health and Safety Executive regulations (Pressure Systems and Transportable Gas Containers No.2169, 1989), any person who supplies any article for use in a pressure system, is required to ensure that all repairs are conducted such that they do not give rise to danger or otherwise impair the operation of any protective device in the system.
